March For Life Pictures!!!

Hey guys, we had an AWESOME time at the March For Life 2013 (even if we almost became walking ice cubes, but no matter!)! Doug recently sent out an email, and I have asked his permission to put the pictures attached up here on the forum for you all to enjoy!

*Doug took this one while climbing on the ladder of a news truck. Can you find us?


*This was near the end of the speeches. Boy were we glad when that was over! And if you saw my earlier post, this is what I meant by the fact that I looked like I was from Iran!


*This was the second photo Doug took from the news truck. The news guy was NOT happy to see him there! It's okay Doug, Kathryn tried to warn you!


*Our last photo was taken while on the March when we passed the front of the Capital building. We were finally warming up, and it had STARTED TO SNOW!


For those of you who didn't go be glad you didnt, try to come next year! It was a whole lot of frosty fun, and the speeches were really inspiring! Plus, who doesn't love snow and funky chants!

Just to add on to the above, here are some other memorable moments:

1. Pope Benedict tweeted in support of us: “I join all those marching for life from afar, and pray that political leaders will protect the unborn and promote a culture of life.”

2. One of the Eastern Orthodox Metropolitans who were present was named Tikhon like the guy from the movie we watched.  We all looked at each other and went: "TIKHON!!!"

3. Doug spoke to a man in Vietnamese.

4. The attendance was about 500,000 people.

5.  No one got lost for more than 15 seconds, kudos to Mr. and Mrs. Hodge for bringing up the rear.

I may be a hoodlum Doug, but I have to point one thing out.

Everyone here is looking their own way, and then there's these two creepers who are apparently smiling for our picture!  I bet they were thinking: That'sss a very nicccce picture you've got there, it would be a shame if sssomething were to happen to it.
